Our annual summer internship program has become a flagship program for us. We provide a comprehensive banking or sales & trading experience to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as workplace exposure for high school students. The program teaches a number of professional skills, including teamwork, how to interview, working in a professional environment, delivering on job responsibilities, and client relationship development. We are very proud to say that our former interns have gone on to do incredible things, both on Wall Street and beyond.
Participants learn on the job, enjoying direct involvement in deals and access to leaders who have extensive knowledge and relationships. The formal training component of the analyst program builds both skills and industry knowledge, provided through a combination of internal experts and external sources.
We train analysts in a variety of skills, from Bloomberg to capital structures to financial modeling to yields and spreads, as well as offering individualized professional skill coursework. In addition, we partner with world-class leaders who offer programs that help our firm enter new business areas and attract more investors. We are proud to offer a range of training opportunities that exposes our analysts to the concepts, tools, and immersive learning opportunities needed to thrive in the business.
The social component of the analyst program supports relationship-building and broader industry exposure within the firm. Every other month, analysts participate in a formalized social activity with others in the firm. These events range in size and makeup, with the objective of fostering both team cohesion and firm integration. Recent examples include happy hours, mini golf, and ice cream socials.
The program also supports relationship-building and industry exposure outside of the firm. CastleOak analysts have opportunities to interact with analysts at our partner organizations and periodically participate in networking groups and industry events.
